Founded in 2007, the Henley Literary Festival has firmly established itself as one of the UK’s most popular literary festivals, bringing together punters and pundits from far and wide in an annual meeting-of-minds set across its stunning riverside hometown.
Now in its 11th year, Henley Literary Festival is established as one of the UK’s biggest book festivals, with past authors including Judith Kerr, John Major, Jilly Cooper, John Sentamu and Julia Donaldson. The 2017 Festival takes place from October 2-8 at venues across Henley-on-Thames with over 150 talks, Q&As, workshops and performances for adults and children. The line-up features bestselling novelists Paula Hawkins, Roddy Doyle, Katie Fforde, Michael Morpurgo and Joanne Harris alongside speakers from politics, entertainment, sport and more including Russell Brand, Mary Berry, Phil Tufnell, June Sarpong and Chris Patten. Family events include Alison Steadman and Radio 1’s Greg James with their first children’s books, award-winning authors and illustrators Rob Biddulph and Steve Antony, Clare Balding and The Tiger Who Came To Tea.
