The Henley & District Agricultural Association Ploughing Match with Heavy Horse Village and Companion Dog Show will be held on Sunday 1st October. The day commences with the ‘The Blessing of the Plough’ at 9.00 am.
This is a fantastic day for the whole family with Modern and Vintage Tractors ploughing.
There will be over 20 heavy horses, six ploughing teams and a display ring. Donkeys will also be ploughing. Bryony Gill, who appeared on Countryfile will be working her two beautiful Shire horses.
In addition there will be a Working Machinery Display, Terrier and Ferret Racing and our ever popular Poultry Auction. This the second year running there will be a Companion Dog Show with five classes, one especially for Lurchers.
There is an interesting collection of Agricultural trade stands to include: Cakes, Sweets and Country Clothing. There will also be Bee Keepers, Spinners and Weavers, and Wood Turning.
A traditional country day out.
Admission is £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for concessions and children under 5 are free. Tickets are available on the gate and further information on our website . www.thehenleyshow.co.uk . Free parking on the day. Dogs are welcome.
