Taking place in the Market Place from December 10th to 22nd, this charming event will transform the heart of Henley into a winter wonderland, with 10 beautifully crafted wooden huts, decorated by Party Planners, surrounding the town’s iconic Christmas tree.
Organized by Henley Town Council with support from local creative companies Creative Duck and the Makers Space, the market will showcase a variety of local artisan traders and makers. Visitors can browse an array of handmade gifts, unique crafts, seasonal treats, and beautiful Christmas decorations—perfect for picking up thoughtful presents and supporting the vibrant local creative community.
But the festive fun doesn’t stop there! Henley’s very own Santa will be making special appearances on December 11th and 12th to greet families and spread Christmas cheer. And for a touch of playful mischief, keep an eye out for the Grinch, who’ll be dropping by on December 21st to add his own twist to the celebrations!
In addition to the new Christmas huts, Henley’s regular town markets will be joining the festivities, bringing their own seasonal flair. On December 12th (Charter Market), 14th (Farmers’ Market), 15th (Craft Market), and 19th (Farmers’ and Charter Markets), you can enjoy a diverse range of goods, fresh produce, and handmade items from local sellers. Taking place on Friday, November 29th, this annual highlight begins with Henley’s streets closing to traffic from 3 pm to 11 pm and the event running from 5 pm to 9 pm. The town will be buzzing with excitement as visitors enjoy a dazzling array of festive stalls, fairground rides, and live entertainment, building up to the grand switch-on of the beautiful lights at 7 pm.
