THE RIVER
IN HENLEY ON THAMES
RIVER THAMES
There are many ways to enjoy the River Thames as it flows through one its most famous stretches at Henley. Get on the river with a scheduled trip, hire a boat yourself or even learn to row. If that’s too energetic, relax in one of the parks with a picnic or just stroll along the banks. Henley’s river can be enjoyed all year round.
MILL & MARSH MEADOWS
Henley’s Mill & Marsh Meadows are the formal and informal parks adjacent to the river upstream of Henley Bridge. It holds the prestigious Green Flag Award which recognises the best green spaces in the country, both spaces offer areas to relax alongside the river.
Mill Meadows has an Adventure Golf course (with all the sights of Henley in miniature), café, two children’s playgrounds and public toilets. In the summer (Between April and August) there are regular weekend music performances on the Bandstand.
Limited car parking is available at Mill Meadows and the Station car park is a 2 minute walk.
