Henley-on-Thames is gearing up for a magical festive season with its first Alpine Christmas Market, running from 10th–22nd December. Curated by local creative agency The Creative Duck, this enchanting market will feature ten Alpine-style chalets hosting over 50 talented artisans and makers, offering unique gifts and handcrafted treasures. There will also be some festive extras including appearances by Henley Santa (11th & 12th from 2pm-6pm), The Grinch (21st from 11am – 1pm), and carol singing by Reading Operatic Society (15th & 22nd from 10am to 1pm).
Henley’s popular markets will also bring seasonal cheer, with the Charter Market (12th & 19th), Farmers Market (14th), and Craft Market (15th) continuing in the Market Place next to the Alpine Huts throughout December.
Visitors are encouraged to explore Henley’s festive market, enjoy the Christmas lights and support the high street, brimming with diverse shops and dining options. The town promises a unique experience for both residents and visitors, blending creative artisan shopping with a bustling local community spirit.
