May Fayre

Henley-on-Thames is excited to announce the return of its much-loved May Fayre, taking place on the later date of Monday 26th May 2025 — during the second Bank Holiday weekend, following VE Day celebrations earlier in the month.

Join us in the Market Place for an afternoon packed with free family fun, performances, and traditional festivities from 12 noon to 5pm. Entry is completely free, and there will be something for everyone to enjoy — including a drum workshop, maypole dancing, live performers, stalls, fair attractions, and more!

The schedule includes:

• 12 noon – Official Opening by the Mayor of Henley
• 12.15pm – Traditional Maypole Dancing
• 1pm – Welcome the magical Bubble Fairy
• 2pm – Drum Workshop in the Town Hall – free to attend (Sign up form below)
• 2.30pm – Drum performance on the steps of the Town Hall
• 3pm – Fancy Dress Competition (free to enter) – this year’s theme: Red, White, and Blue!
