The celebrations kick off on Friday 28th November with the Henley Christmas Festival. VIP guest Jerry Hall will officially switch on the townโs Christmas lights alongside the Mayor and the Christmas Card design winner. Speaking ahead of the event, Jerry Hall said:
“Iโm thrilled to be turning on the Christmas Lights in Henley this year and seeing this wonderful town light up to herald in the Christmas season. Itโs going to be fun and I am looking forward to it very much.”

The townโs Christmas tree, selected by Mayor Tom Buckley, will be beautifully decorated by Henley event organisers, Party Planners. The festival will feature fairground rides, food stalls, and live entertainment, with the stage located by the Town Hall for easy viewing. Santa will be waiting to meet children in his grotto at the Kingโs Arms Barn.
On Friday 5th December, Henley launches its first โShop under the Starsโ evening. Over 20 retailers will stay open until 8pm, offering festive shopping, seasonal offers, and a chance to enjoy the townโs Christmas lights. Live music in the Market Place will provide a festive soundtrack, making it the perfect opportunity to support Henleyโs thriving high street while enjoying a relaxed evening of retail therapy.

The Living Advent Calendar returns, organised by the Town Council for the first time. Families can enjoy daily festive surprises at 6.15pm across 24 venues, including: Town Hall steps, Angel on the Bridge, Leander Club, HAODS Studio, Hart Street Tavern, Trinity Church, Town Hall, Christchurch Centre, The Old Bell, The Relais, Chiltern House, The Anchor, Echoes, Kenton Theatre, Henley Library, d:two, Market Place, The Bull on Bell Street, Eyot Centre, Flyte Bar, Henley Rugby Club, HOFs, and St Maryโs Church.

From 4th to 14th December, ten Christmas Market Huts will fill the Market Place with locally made gifts, crafts, and seasonal treats.
The festive fun continues with Santa on the Run on 14th December, starting from Leander Club and supported by Rupert House School. Plus a visit from the Grinch on 20th December from 11am to 1pm.
